Our College
Principal
After acquiring the Post Graduate degree in Chemistry from St. Thomas College, Pala he started his career as Assistant Chemist at FACT (CD), Aluva in 1985. He then moved to Cochin Refinery Ltd (CRL) and worked as Associate Chief Chemist and by 1987 onwards he entered in Collegiate Education service. He worked at Govt. Polytechnic College Vennikulam then promoted and posted as Lecturer in Chemistry at Govt. Victoria College Palakad. After six years of services he was posted at Maharaja’s College Ernakulam as Selection Grade Lecturer. He served there for 20 years in various capacities like, Coordinator, B.Sc Chemistry (Environment & Water Management Course), Chairman- Board of Examiners, B.Sc Environmental Chemistry, Convener Expert Committee, Convener Scholar Support Programme, Subject Expert Panel of Kerala Public Service Commission.. In the course of time he took his Ph, D degree from Mahatma Gandhi University in Synthetic Organic Chemistry and has deep knowledge in Retro synthetic Analysis, Isolation of Natural Products, Physical Chemistry, Spectroscopy, Quantum Chemistry and Analytical Techniques. He has organized Science Popularization Lecture Series, Science day celebrations, actively involved as Joint Coordinator in PAC meeting, Patent Awareness Workshop and also the Indian Association of Chemistry Teachers meeting. He conducted various Science Extension Programmes. In connection with his research work of isolation in crystalline form of Garcinia and Hibiscus Acids, he was awarded 2 Indian Patents and 1 American Patent. There were several publications in peer –reviewed journals. In 2010 he joined in the Department of Chemistry, Government College, Kottayam and served as the Head of Department and also became the Principal of this college in 2014. In 2015 he was appointed as First Grade Principal at Maharaja’s College Ernakulam and by 2016 he retired as the Deputy Director of Collegiate Education, Zonal office Thrissur. While he was working as visiting faculty in Chemistry at Institute of Integrated Programm and Research in Basic Sciences (IIRBS), MG University he took charge as the Principal of PRDS College of Arts & Science, Amara, Changanacherry in the year 2021.

Ms. PRVEENA T RAM joined in the Department of Economics in the year 2021 and now is the Head of the Department. She earned her M.A Degree in Economics from Vimala College, Calicut and cleared UGC NET in 2011. She worked as Assistant Professor in Economics at in AL Ameen ENGINEERING, College and also in in PROFESSORS ACADEMY OF ENGINEERING AS LECTURER

Mr. HUKKIM K.H joined in the Department of Economics , PRDS College of Arts and Science in the year 2022. He earned his B.A and M.A Degrees from SB College Changancherry. He has completed AGRIPRENOURSHIP COURSE (KILA, 2020). He acquired intensive training in ‘STATISTICAL ANALYSIS USING SPSS’

He has published a paper titled “Scripting Subalternity and the Crisis of Contemporaneity: Reading B. R. Ambedkar’sAnnihilation of Caste” in IJELLH, vol. 8, issue 9, September 2020.
Book Publcation. He has published a book of collection of poems and short stories entitled “The Paradoxical Watchman – Narratives from a Citizen of the Democratic State of Republic” with DC Expressions.
PAPERS AND PROJECTS; Presented a paper titled “Is India a Totalitarian State? An Analysis on the basis of Introduction to Giorgio Agamben’s Homo Sacer: Sovereign Power and Bare Life” in the Three-Day International Conference on Cultural Studies organized by Department of Languages, KVM College of Arts and Sciences, Cherthala in collaboration with Kerala State Higher Education Council on 26-28 February 2020.
*Undertaken a Project – Subaltern Scripts and Contemporaneity: Reading B. R. Ambedkar’s Annihilation of Caste.
* Completed project – A Peep into The Minds of The Characters in C. Ayyappan’s “Madness”.

* Has won third place in Carnatic Music Classical in Central Sahodaya Youth Festival.
*He is a very good athlete also and won first place for Long Jump and second place for 100m race in PYKKA District Athletic Meet and also participated in PYKKA State athletic Meet.

Actively involved in Study on the effects of social media behavior among college students and comparative study on the work life of the employees of public and private sector banks in Kerala.

Smt. Priyanka Surendran joined in the Department of English as Guest Lecturer in the year 2021 and currently she is the Head of the Department. She took her M.A degree from Mar Ivanios College, Thiruvananthapuram , B.Ed Degree from Kerala University College of Teacher Education , Kariavattom. She qualified K-TET in 2015, SET in 2016 and NET in 2017.
